Charoen Phokphand Group and True Corporation receieved Honarary PLAQUEs in Supporting and Developing the quality of the blinds' lives on the 50th Anniversary of the Thailand Association of the Blind

Pol Gen Adul Sangsingkaew, Social Development and Human Security Minister presented plaques to organizations and individuals that support and develop the living quality of the blind which include Charoen Phokphand Group by Vice President Corporate Relations, Mr Abhaichon Vacharasinthu and True Corporation by President (Co) for Commercial Management, Mr.Vichaow Rakphongphairoj on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary Seminar of the Thailand Association of the Blind on the Public Policy for Sustainability Living and the 20th National Blind Assembly at the Ambassador Hotel, Sukhumvit.
CP Group and True Corporation have the mission to develop Thai social by bringing their telecommunications technology, innovations and knowledge to increase opportunities and develop the quality of lives for disable people under the "Creating a Better Life for the Disabled" concept with the initiation of "Blind SIM" which was developed for the sight impair in order to allow them to use unlimited data applications at special prices as well as call 1414 call center to receive voice information for free. Moreover, the group also spearheaded the "Smile Voice" project at the Stock Exchange of Thailand to help the blinds in accessing information and entertainment through voice books as well as support the potentials of blind singers through "From Street to Stars" project which is organized by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and the Thailand Association of the Blind. The two conglomerates also help publicize the projects of the disabled through their media and support job creation with the recent opening of the "Asean Disability Training Center", the first of its kind in Thailand at Tambon Muang Kaew, Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai by educating them on agricultural innovations through 6 categories in order to create sustainable careers and generate income for disabled in 8 Northern provinces and those in ASEAN.
